4. r.i.p. charlie kirk

Unfortunately, none of us in VCDL leadership had a chance to meet Charlie Kirk.

We offer our prayers to his wife and two children.

Charlie Kirk stood up for liberty, including 2nd Amendment rights, and free speech for everyone. He will be greatly missed. We hope that his assassin is brought to justice quickly.

5. is the super safety adapter legal in virginia?

Member Frank C. asked if Super Safeties are legal in Virginia.

Since Super Safeties are basically Forced Reset Triggers (FRTs), here is an article VCDL firearm attorney John Pierce put together on FRTs:

6. final bowling pin shoot in todd's range in louisa on saturday, sept. 20

VCDL will have a table at a bowling pin shoot in Louisa on Saturday, September 20.  This is a fun event, with the proceeds benefiting charity.  This time that charity is Patriot Shrine Club.

Food will be available and there is no registration – just show up!

Shooters’ meeting starts at 9am and the match begins at 10am.

Location:

Todd’s House

5672 Bibb Store Road

Louisa, VA 23093

Each round is $5.  All rounds have six shooters knocking 5 bowling pins off a table.  First cleared table, wins.  You will be shooting against those with guns of a similar caliber to yours.

All handguns welcome.  Bring eye and ear protection.  Bring guns in zippered bags or secured in holsters.  Oh, and bring lots of money. ;-)

Money spent at the shoot is NOT tax deductible.

This will be the last bowling pin shoot at Todd’s House.   Todd has held the bowling pin shoot at his range for the last 21 years.

For more information, call Jim Scites (703) 498-0607 before 9pm.
