VCDL Update 11/3/26 -

VCDL/GOA "assault weapon" ban lawsuit expanded!

BACK TO VA-ALERTS

VCDL and GOA have gotten their injunction on the “assault firearm” ban, magazine capacity limitation, and public carry of “assault firearms” extended to cover the Commonwealth of Virginia in its entirety. It was so ordered by the Lancaster Circuit Court Judge, John S. Martin:

Plaintiffs' Motion is GRANTED to the extent that the Commonwealth of Virginia, its agencies and employees are hereby preliminarily enjoined subject to the same terms and duration outlined in the Preliminary Injunction entered June 30, 2026 and Order entered September 10, 2026.

VCDL is looking for gun-show co-coordinators who can alternate overseeing the VCDL table at the Dulles Town Center gun show (aka “the Nations Gun Show”), which is held six times a year.

Gun shows are VCDL's year-round presence on the frontlines to protect our Second Amendment Right in Virginia.

You will receive training and support and will not be asked to assume any role until you are comfortable. Telephone support will be available to you seven days a week.

Please take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. Come forward and help save the show! Our voices need to be heard at this major gun show.

REMEMBER: You Are VCDL!

If you are interested or have any questions about being a co-coordinator, contact Robert at gunshows.chantilly@vcdl.org

The King George County Circuit Court Clerk’s office is now accepting CHP applications online. Residents can still apply in person or by mail, if they prefer.

From EM Brendan Mooney:

Saw this on reddit and made sure it is real:

Fall River Police have arrested a man on gun charges after seizing a firearm and ammunition.

According to police, on Monday, detectives from our Community Action and Suppression Team stopped a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe as part of an ongoing firearm investigation. 31-year-old Jeffrey Clark was reportedly found with a Remington 700 .308-caliber rifle, 35 live rounds of .308-caliber ammunition, and 60 live rounds of .223-caliber ammunition, including enhanced penetration and tracer rounds. Clark does not hold a Massachusetts License to Carry or a Firearms Identification Card. He was arrested and brought to the Fall River Police Department for booking on charges of Improper Storage of a Firearm, Carrying a Firearm without a License, and Possessing Ammunition without an FID card.

[He was charged for having a bolt action hunting rifle without the crown’s approval + “enhanced penetration ammo”. But but but but the gun-controllers only want to take the AR15s!]
