Freedom Outdoors has taken over the facility that used to be owned by Colonial Shooting Academy, before they closed.  Freedom Outdoors did the same thing in Virginia Beach when they bought Colonial Shooting Academy’s range down there.

Freedom Outdoors has graciously allowed us to use one of their training/meeting rooms.

This is a multi-million-dollar range, with a large retail area where they sell firearms, ammunition, and accessories.  They have 34 shooting lanes, all temperature controlled, and an archery range.

The ranges are 25 yards long and can handle some rifles, like AR-15s (but green tip armor piercing rounds are not allowed for obvious reasons).  You can bring your own ammo or purchase ammo at their range.  The range is open to the public but offers memberships as well.

Freedom Outdoors, along with Green Top’s shooting range in Ashland, gives central Virginia two options for advanced, multi-million-dollar ranges.

VCDL is going to have a table at the annual Guns Out TV Range Day at XCal in Loudoun County this Saturday, August 23, from 9am to 5pm.
