Some questions asked by a member:
Q. Specifically, as the injunction clearly applies to CURRENT and FUTURE members of the membership organizations (e.g. GOA), what about PAST members?
A. Being a past member, but not a current member, does not count.
-
Q. What if someone is a member at the time of purchase but they later let their membership lapse? For example, someone is a member today, they buy a covered item September 1, 2026, and then they let their GOA membership expire December 31, 2026. Are they still covered if their found to have that item March 1, 2027?
A. If the purchaser was a member of GOA at the time of purchase, that’s what matters. BUT keep a careful trail of when you joined GOA, when your GOA membership lapsed (not a good idea to let it lapse), when and where you purchased that suppressor, etc.
The safest bet before acting on the injunction is to wait until the ATF puts out their guidelines.
Telling the truth is a losing strategy for gun-control groups.

The General Assembly’s Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission (JLARK) created a report titled, “Effects of Community Gun Violence in Virginia 2025.”
Member Tom H. brought the report to my attention, and he noted these facts from the report:
Virginia's overall firearm homicide rate is close to the national average.
Nine localities account for more than half of all gun-related homicides in the Commonwealth.
Firearm homicides are concentrated in specific neighborhoods and social networks rather than being evenly distributed across cities.
Firearm injuries impose significant medical, mental health, educational, and economic costs on affected communities.
None of that is surprising. Just watching the news, it is obvious that crime in Virginia is mostly focused in certain areas of Virginia’s blue cities. Most counties have either no or almost no murders. Overall, Virginia is a safe place to live. Of course, the gun-controllers are working to “fix” that!
