TWO MAJOR NEWS ITEMS ON THE VIRGINIA "ASSAULT FIREARM" BAN!
THE VCDL/GOA “ASSAULT FIREARM” BAN LAWSUIT IS
HEADED TO THE VIRGINIA SUPREME COURT ON AN EMERGENCY APPEAL
BY JAY JONES!
Jay Jones has filed an emergency request with the Virginia Supreme Court for a stay of the temporary injunction on the “assault firearm” ban put in place by Lancaster County Circuit Court Judge John S. Martin.
We’ll see you in court, Jay!
ANOTHER IMPORTANT WIN IN THE FIGHT AGAINST THE VIRGINIA “ASSAULT FIREARM” BAN!
THREE-JUDGE PANEL DENIES CONSOLIDATION OF CASES!
HISTORY
Jay Jones, realizing the Virginia “assault firearm” ban is in serious trouble with all the lawsuit that have been filed, attempted to get the lawsuits consolidated into one lawsuit and then put before a sympathetic judge. His hope was to wipe all of them out at once.
To achieve that goal, Jones made an application to the Virginia Supreme Court to have a three-judge panel decide on just such a consolidation. The Supreme Court created the panel, and the panel agreed to meet and decide, today, July 6.
VICTORY! Jay Jones goes down in flames, again!
The panel UNAMIMOUSLY voted to reject any consolidation of the lawsuits! Those lawsuits will now continue on their way to overturning that unconstitutional ban on the most popular rifles in America!
Not only did Jay Jones lose on this ruling, Republican Commonwealth Attorneys Ross Spicer (Frederick County) and Krystyn Reid (York County) had also signed on to that consolidation application to the Supreme Court, putting them on the losing side as well.
