THE U.S. SUPREMEM COURT IS GOING TO HEAR "ASSAULT WEAPON" CASES!
FINALLY! SCOTUS agrees to take up “Assault Weapon” bans!
This is HUGE and has been a long time coming. By this time next year, the U.S. Supreme Court will have ruled on the constitutionality of “assault weapon” bans!
As you can imagine, the gun-control crowd is beside themselves and it is glorious to behold!
The Supreme Court in DC v. Heller has already said that firearms that are “in common use” cannot be banned. PERIOD.
In Mexico v. Smith & Wesson, the Supreme Court acknowledged that firearms like AR-15s are the most popular rifles in the country and have been for a while. Or alternatively stated, AR-15s are “in common use.”
It’s now just a matter of time as we wait for SCOTUS to glue those two things together.
Meanwhile, the VCDL/GOA and VSSA/NRA lawsuits at the state level are progressing, both having created temporary injunctions. Remember, a temporary injunction is a strong sign that the judge believes we will prevail once the cases are fully heard and adjudicated!
