another temporary injunction issued against the 'assault firearm' ban!

More Breaking News 6/29/26 – Washington County Judge Jeffrey L. Campbell just issued a temporary injunction on the AWB!

Judge Campbell has issued a temporary injunction in the VSSA/NRA lawsuit (Santolla v. Katz) against the new AWB. Enjoined from enforcing the law are the Virginia State Police and the Commonwealth Attorneys for the following localities: Washington County, Chesterfield County, Frederick County, York County, Giles County, and Chesapeake.

The injunction is scheduled to remain in effect until July 1, 2027.

That makes TWO temporary injunctions (VCDL/GOA and VSSA/NRA) against the AWB. Both signal that the judges who issued those temporary injunctions believe that the Plaintiffs are likely to succeed in getting the AWB struck down as unconstitutional!

Virginia Attorney General Jay Jones is probably buying some Excedrin as I write this…. ;-)
