Spanberger has 30 days to either veto the AWB bill or let it become law without her modifications. I expect the latter.

2. HELP NEEDED: RICHMOND GUN SHOW ON MAY 2 AND 3

VCDL MEMBER-VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED AT THE RICHMOND GUN SHOW – May 2 & 3, 2026

The next gun show will be May 2 & 3 at the Richmond International Raceway, 600 E Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23222.

If you are unfamiliar with the location, you can find it easily on google maps or at the link below.

As before, VCDL will have a booth at this event, and we need member-volunteers to talk about protecting and defending our right to defend ourselves.

NO previous gun show or event experience is required. Only your enthusiasm and dedication to help VCDL grow stronger.

3. "COMMONSEN SE GUN SAFETY ADVOCATE" MURDERS WIFE IN A MURDER-SUICIDE

Honestly, so called “gun safety advocates” need to red flag themselves!

Case in point is our previous Democrat gun-grabbing Lt. Governor Justin Fairfax, who murdered his wife and then killed himself, all while his children were present in the home.

At least he didn’t murder his children, too. Gun controllers have done that in the past.

There is a photo of Fairfax in front of the NRA headquarters holding a sign that says, “Stand up for women’s rights: Disarm Abusers.” He should have taken his own advice.

In 2020, Justin Fairfax broke the senate tie, allowing Virginia’s Red Flag bill to become law.

You simply can’t make this stuff up.

Yet another failure of Red Flag laws.

4. HELP NEEDED: NORTHERN VIRGINIA GUN SHOW ON MAY 8, 9, 10

From VCDL NoVA gun show coordinator, Robert Eufemia:

You may have already heard that the April Gun Show has been rescheduled to May 8th, 9th, and 10^th, 2026. Therefore, I am now recruiting for the May show.

The show is being held in Northern VA. The exact location is still being finalized. Thank you all for everything. You guys and gals are great!

Now is the time to get involved. Remember 2020! Remember 2026! The gun bills being proposed are only getting worse.

(We are awaiting final action by the Governor on the “Assault Firearms” Ban.) 

Volunteer now to get your shift of choice. As a volunteer at this show you will get free admission, for that day, if you volunteer to take a full shift. There are a limited number of inside table positions.

The show is for VCDL members to volunteer. Unlike Lobby Day, children, friends, visiting guests, older parents, and grandparents cannot be brought along. We are limited in the number of passes that can be requested. Thank you for understanding.

Andrew Brown with NRA-ILA will be a guest and will be available to answer any questions you may have pertaining to the NRA-ILA. Senator Mulchi and the local sheriff have been invited.

We will be covering the pending laws and other important 2A items that affect Virginia’s gun owners.

6. HARMEET DHILLON TALKS ABOUT PROTECTING "ASSAULT FIREARMS" IN VIRGINIA

I fully expect that the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, Second Amendment subdivision to sue the Commonwealth over the unconstitutional gun laws that were just passed.

Of course, VCDL, GOA, and other gun rights groups will also be suing.

The gun grabbers will never learn. And with all the new AR-15 sales they are generating with their gun ban, I expect “assault weapon” bans to be overturned in the courts anyway.
