good news! jay jones loses in court!
BREAKING: The ruling on the Jay Jones attempt to usurp Attorney General Jason Miyares is in!
On December 1, Jay Jones filed a motion with the Virginia Court of Appeals to extend the time to appeal a lower court ruling overturning Virginia’s Universal Background Check law. He wanted the appeal period to be extended by two months until after he is sworn in as Attorney General in mid-January.
GOOD NEWS: The Virginia Court of Appeals has DENIED Jay Jones’s attempt to usurp the power of Attorney General Jason Miyares, who decided NOT to appeal the ruling!
We fully expected this to be the outcome, as allowing Jones to interfere with the acting Attorney General would have set a horrific precedent and total chaos in the executive branch of government following an election.
Jay Jones just spent a lot of somebody’s money tilting at windmills. If he knew anything about the law, he’d have known that he was wasting everybody’s time with this attempt at virtue signaling. I can only imagine what tomfoolery will follow once he has access to state money.
