In ‘Forged in Freedom”, Harsanyi explores how guns have helped preserve the nation’s religious liberty, economic independence, and cultural traditions for more than two centuries. 6. Reminder: VCDL Membership Meeting at Rivanna Rifle and Pistol Club on March 25
VCDL will have its regular monthly membership meeting at the Rivanna Rifle and Pistol Club (RRPC) in Charlottesville on Wednesday, March 25, at 7pm. We will be discussing the status of gun bills and other news which affects the right to keep and bear arms in Virginia. This is also a great chance for those who are not members of RRPC to see the great facilities they have there.
Location:
Rivanna Rifle and Pistol Club

7. Second Amendment Sanctuary Update
Alleghany County and Sheriff
The Alleghany County Board of Supervisors reaffirmed the County’s Second Amendment Sanctuary status on March 3rd by a 3 to 2 vote.
Sheriff Kyle Moore made supportive statements during the meeting, but he noted something disgusting that the Democrats did in 2020 to sheriffs. Because some sheriffs publicly stood against the gun-control bills that were being considered back then, the General Assembly voted NOT to give raises to any of the sheriff departments, while giving generous raises to others in government.
Legislators like that should never be allowed anywhere near a position of power!
Town of Pulaski
The Town Council of Pulaski voted to reaffirm their Second Amendment Sanctuary status on March 3:

Dan Wos – VCDL brought up in the podcast on Virginia:
9. Gun-Congrol Push has Virginia 3rd in Nation in Gun Sales!
The gun controllers will never learn. Every time they push gun and/or magazine bans, they drive gun owners to buy even more guns and magazines! When we eventually get the AWB law struck down, there will be MORE “assault firearms” and 16+ magazines in Virginia than there were before the ban.
10. DC's Highest Court Strikes Down Their 10-Round Magazine Limit
While this is an excellent ruling and will be helpful in our fight against magazine limits in Virginia, it does not directly affect the magazine-capacity limitation in the AWB bill that is on the Governor’s desk.
