no background checks for private gun sales! 10/29/25

BREAKING NEWS! Universal Background Checks have now been officially enjoined! The order drafted by our attorneys has been signed by Circuit Court Judge Yeattes. 

It is now legal for private gun sales to proceed without needing to get a background check done by a dealer, just as it was before July 1, 2020!



Many thanks to Gun Owners of America for covering half the cost of this lawsuit, which was first initiated back in 2020. They have been a great partner in this, and other cases still pending here in Virginia!

Attorney General Miyares tried to greatly restrict this win by creating his own order for the judge to sign, but the judge rejected Miyares’s efforts.  Yes, Miyares is better than Jones, but that isn’t saying much.
