two more commonwealth attorneys not prosecuting awb!
And now there are four Commonwealth Attorneys who won’t be prosecuting peaceful citizens for violating the new unconstitutional “assault firearm” laws starting July 1!
These two Commonwealth Attorneys (CAs) just added their names to the list of CAs who will not be prosecuting for merely violating the “assault firearm” laws that take effect on July 1:
- Rob Cerullo, Commonwealth Attorney for Powhatan County.

Here is the current list of Commonwealth Attorneys who are honoring their oath of office to protect the good people in their jurisdictions from unconstitutional infringements on their right to keep and bear arms. Remember them when they are up for reelection:
- Phillip Blevins, Smyth County
- Rob Cerullo, Powhatan County
- Justin L. Griffith, Pulaski County
- Ryan Mehaffey, Spotsylvania County
VCDL’s attorneys are drafting a model letter that can be used by CAs to declare that they, too, are keeping their oath of office by protecting law-abiding gun owners from unconstitutional “assault firearm” and magazine capacity bans. An alert will go out once the model letter is ready.
We have filed for an emergency injunction to stop enforcement of the AWB and magazine resrictions. You can support those lawsuits by using one of the links below.
