The Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors will vote TONIGHT (2/9/26) on affirming the County’s 2A Sanctuary status at their regular meeting, which starts at 6pm. It is item 7D on the agenda.

Brad Slaybaugh on the Colonial Heights City Council will read their 2019 2A Sanctuary resolution at the City Council meeting tomorrow night (2/10/26). The meeting starts at 7pm and is item #9 on the agenda. This is to remind everyone what City Council had in the resolution and that the resolution is still in effect.
If you can turn out in support, that would be helpful!

Prince George County
The Prince George County Board of Supervisors will vote on a 2A Sanctuary resolution tomorrow night (2/10/26). The meeting starts at 6pm and the public comment section is at the very beginning of the meeting. That is when you can speak on the resolution, even though the resolution itself will not come up until a little later in the meeting.
You can sign up for public comments just prior to the meeting start, join the online meeting, or just be there in person at the start of the public comment period and take your turn making your comments. You have to state your name and address and be either a Prince George resident or own a business in Prince George. There is a 3-minute time limit for an individual and a 5-minute time limit for a speaker representing an organization (like VCDL).

February 18 meeting.

Wythe County
Stacy Terry, Wythe County Supervisor at Large, reported that the Wythe County Board of Supervisors reaffirmed the County’s 2A Sanctuary status on Tuesday, January 13, by a 7 to 0 vote!
Campbell County
The Campbell County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to reaffirm the County’s 2A Sanctuary status on February 3 at their regular meeting.
Spotsylvania County
Members of the Spotsylvania County Board of Supervisor reiterated that the County is still a 2A Sanctuary at their January 29 meeting.
