1. Wrap-up of Fairfax City Council’s vote to expand its existing gun-control ordinance
With leaders like Fairfax City Council, who needs tyrants?
City Council voted for the extended gun ban, adding more parks and adding permitted events to their list of gun-free zones. Penalty for a violation goes from a Class 4 misdemeanor to a Class 1 misdemeanor. No exemption for CHP holders. Lots of misinformation on CHP holders spouted by Council members.
The changes go into effect on January 1, 2026.
I’ll just carry a Byrna in their gun-free zones until we can get full preemption reestablished in Virginia.
Election day is November 4th, if you haven’t voted yet.
2. Action Item: Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 29, there is a rally at the General Assembly to protest the Democrat’s attempted redistricting power grab
Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 29, at 11am, there is an event hosted by the Middle Resolution at the Capitol in Richmond to protest the Democrats trying to gerrymander voting districts, overriding the Virginia Constitution. The event starts with a rally at the Bell Tower and will be followed by everyone filling the House and Senate galleries.
It is suggested you wear red, white, and blue attire (and your GSL buttons).
Firearms are prohibited on the Capitol grounds and in the Capitol. Knives with folding metal blades under 3-inches (such as your VCDL switchblade) are allowed.
The Capitol is located at 101 N 9th St. Richmond, VA.
