Defender Articles
CDL is an all-volunteer, non-partisan grassroots organization dedicated to defending the civil rights of all Virginians. The membership considers the right to keep and bear arms an essential civil right. Members are encouraged to actively participate in the Defender. Articles on Second Amendment and the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (RKBA) subjects may be published as space permits. Articles must be brief and to the point. Materials will not be returned unless accompanied by a self addressed, stamped envelope. All claims, facts, and quotes must be verifiable. Photos must be accompanied with names of the subjects, dates, location of events, and photographers name. Articles must be factual, news worthy, and of interest to the membership. The Defender will

not endorse politicians or political candidates for office. Opinions expressed in the Defender are not necessarily those of the Virginia Citizens Defense League, Inc. Due to limited space, all submissions may not be published. Submissions are subject to editing for length, style, grammar, and conformity with the goals of VCDL. Authors of articles and letters should be identified. Contact the editor for additional details. VCDL wants to include clippings from around the state in The Defender. You can help by monitoring your local Virginia newspaper for articles, editorials, and letters to the editor dealing with the right to keep and bear arms. Clip the news piece along with a masthead from the paper and send them in. Submissions are due by the 25th day of the month preceding the month of publication. Send submissions via e-mail to Newsletter@vcdl.org.
